Quarterly State of Risk - Tariff Update

Join ISM’s quarterly member-only executive briefing as Tom Derry, CEO of the Institute for Supply Management, convenes two senior leaders to unpack how evolving tariff regimes and trade policy are reshaping supply chain risk in the year ahead. Alan Harrah, CPSM, CSCP, CPO of Daikin Applied Americas, and Rajeshnath VT, SVP Supply Chain at Pentair, will share practical strategies for tariff mitigation, supplier engagement, and financial exposure management—grounded in real-world operations across complex, global networks. Expect a concise, insight-rich hour that connects macro developments to actionable tactics you can deploy immediately.

You’ll leave with a clear view of the tariff landscape, a decision-making toolkit for scenario planning, and concrete ideas to strengthen continuity, cost control, and resilience—whether you manage direct materials, indirect categories, or multi-tier supplier ecosystems. Live audience Q&A is included and encouraged.

The event is at capacity. Please contact ismcflchapter@gmail.com to join the event waitlist.

Please join the ISM-Central Florida chapter for a behind-the-scenes tour of Orlando International Airport (MCO).

The tour will take place in Terminal C and will include the ticket counter areas, the Airport Operations Center, the Virtual Ramp Control Center, the Baggage Handling System, and the Terminal C gate areas. A government-issued ID is required for attendance, and the tour will involve a moderate amount of walking.

Ranked the seventh busiest airport in the U.S. and the busiest in Florida, Orlando International Airport is served by dozens of passenger airlines and offers nonstop flights to more than 160 destinations worldwide. MCO has an on-site hotel, ten rental car agencies, several aircraft maintenance facilities, and over 170 food, beverage, and retail locations.

Serving as a gateway to central Florida’s many attractions, MCO is a major driver of economic activity for the state, generating an economic impact of more than $41 billion. It is a world-class global connector serving millions of passengers annually across its three terminals and is the only U.S. airport with an intermodal facility that offers high-speed rail service. The Path to ISM—Central Florida Revitalization is Underway!

It has been a few months since my last message and we are making some progress. You will soon see some new announcements about events and educational opportunities that we are offering to our members. Timing and effort are everything – and we are trying to be creative in our planning. We have been closely engaged with the Board of Directors for ASCM Space Coast. They are in the same boat as we are and we are collaborating to plan joint events across Central Florida from the Space Coast to Tampa. I’m sure you can imagine the challenges we face while planning and making sure we have great turnouts that members are interested in. So, I ask that you please be patient as we make these arrangements, as I’m sure you find these fun and enjoyable.

In the meantime, we are also working on sending out a survey to gain an understanding of what you, our members, are interested in getting from your ISM—CF membership. We want to make sure that you are getting what you want/need to continue to enhance your professional growth. When you see the survey, please take a few moments to respond – it’s the only way we can make sure we serve YOU.

As a reminder, here are your current ISM—Central Florida Board Members. As you can see, we still have some open positions. Please feel free to reach out to this group should you be interested in helping us revitalize the chapter and make us the best chapter in ISM!
